Industries with higher added value, productivity and wages, which have reduced participation in the Brazilian production structure in the last three decades, were even more negatively impacted in the recent recession. The conclusions point to the strengthening of a pattern of spurious deconcentration in which the developed and industrialized areas of the territory are more affected they have lost more jobs and wages—than those specialized in agromineral commodities.
