In terms of methodology, it was characterized as a multiple case study using a questionnaire for data collection. The results showed that the use of information technology and its automation tools have brought changes, which have led to an improvement in the quality of services provided. There was a consensus among the professionals on how information technology has helped both the firm and their own professional growth, with automated routines, agility in generating and sharing information, and greater interaction between the firm and the client being the most cited benefits. It was also possible to observe an improvement in the means of advertising the services provided, making it possible to reach a wider audience, with digital marketing being a strategically. A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar a percepção dos contadores do Cariri Ocidental Paraibano, quanto ao uso da tecnologia da informação nos serviços contábeis. Quanto aos aspectos metodológicos, caracterizou-se como um estudo de casos múltiplos com coleta de dados mediante aplicação de questionário. Os resultados apontaram que ocorreram mudanças com o uso da Tecnologia da informação e suas ferramentas de automação, que causaram uma melhoria na qualidade dos serviços prestados. Foi consenso entre os profissionais que a Tecnologia da Informação ajudou no crescimento tanto do escritório, como em seu próprio crescimento profissional, onde as rotinas automatizadas, a agilidade na geração e repasse das informações, a maior interação entre escritório e cliente foram os benefícios mais citados. Foi possível observar, também, uma melhoria nos meios de divulgação dos serviços prestados fazendo com que se alcance um público maior, sendo o marketing digital um aliado estratégico.
